Skiing,health checks & USA

The last couple of weeks I haven't been up to skiing a lot. Nonetheless I had some great days at the Stubaier glacier with my friends.

I also had a fun day skiing powder last weekend.

Besides of skiing I had a couple of fitness and health tests the last weeks. One weekend we've been to the Sportschule Puch in Fürstenfeldbruck with the Freeskiteamgermany. We went through a bunch of different balance and fitness tests and got our own trainingsplans. We all have learned how to train our body most effective. That's been such a good weekend.

And all the athletes from the german nationalteam had to do a health check in Munich, which has been emanated from the DSV. They checked our blood, heart and lung and a lot of more in order to make sure we're able to do this kind of extreme sport.

Well and last weekend we, the HZUmoviecrew, had our filmpremiere in Oberstdorf of our new movie "Hiwiegehts". It's been such a fun weekend and the movie is definitely worth to watch.Such a good job of the guys!
Here you can see once again our movietrailer :

As I had such a great time here the last couple of weeks it's now time to fly to the US for some skiing in Breckenridge and Keystone. On Tuesday I'm finally off to Colorado for the Trainingscamp with the German Nationalteam and for the Worldcup in Copper and I really can't wait to be there soon :)

German Freeski Team in Hintertux

I've spent my whole last week in Hintertux with the German national team. It's so good to have a Freeski Team in Germany finally and it's so much fun to ski together with that group of people.I'm pretty happy to be a part of it.Even though we did not have good weather the whole week,it's been a bunch of fun just to shred the rails and the medium jumps and to hang out together.

We also did some other training like trampolin training, which has been a lot of fun too.

Thanks Coach and thanks german nationalteam mates ;) for that fun week in Hintertux!
Right now I'm back home and try to focus a little bit more on school ;-)

O'Neill Action Shoot in Hintertux

The last couple of days I've been to Hintertux for the O'Neill Action Shoot. It was my first time to be involved in that shooting and it's been a blast.
Everyone of us had 3 or 4 sets to wear from the 2013 fall/winter collection. In the morning we usually did a bunch of pictures at the big jumps, which was so much fun. Then we switched to the medium jumps and to the rails and tried to get a lot of stylish shots. We also did a great lifestyle shoot and some other funny pictures.Unfortunately the pictures can not be seen until next year. But I'm already excited to have a look at those shots in the next year's catalog :)

                                                                Shooting with the girls ;-)

                                                                       Skiing with the guys ;-)

But that was not all. Also the Hotel where we stayed has been amazing.Good food, friendly people and a great wellness and fitness area.
Thanks O'Neill for that smashing week in Hintertux.I'm so happy to be a part of that team.

Hintertux Opening & IF3

This weekend I started my season as always with the traditional Hintertux Opening.Even if I actually concentrated more on party at the if3 than on skiing it's been great seeing all my friends again on the mountain and to ski with them.

So this weekend the first if3 has been held in Innsbruck and it definitely was a bunch of fun.It was good to party with all the guys I haven't seen for a while and it was actually great to celebrate the birthday of my girl Isabel as she's slowly becoming pretty old ;-)
So thanks boys and girls for that crazy party weekend.

And right now I'm already looking forward to the upcoming weekend as I'm participating once again at the Pro Contest at the Kaunertal Opening. So let's see how that goes :)

New Zealand

After kinda 40 hours of traveling,we arrived in New Zealand and after 5 more hours of driving we finally reached our house in Wanaka. It has been a pretty long travel to get there but it's definitely worth it.The first two days we've been to the snowpark. We had two beautiful days up there on the mountain with good weather and an amazing park setup.Even if we were all kinda broken from the jetleg we did a really good skiing. It's also pretty funny to meet a lot of friends here in New Zealand,-it feels like you're just skiing at your homeresort.

On our third day here in Wanaka the weather has been pretty bad so we decided to go for a little shopping in Wanaka town,-small but pretty sweet. As the weather forecast for the next day also predicted bad weather we planned to drive to Queenstown. It's been a quite good day down there in Queenstown,-we went for a little shopping and of course we visited the one and only fergburger restaurant,-the place to eat when you're in Queenstown. We definitely had a great and funny day.

After two days off from skiing we enjoyed the following days up on the mountain,-bluebird,sunny weather and a bunch of fun.

After a few days of skiing we've made again a day off and travelled to the West Coast and to the Bluepools,-it has seriously been one of the best places I've ever seen.

So the first two weeks were over and we've already seen a bunch of different beautiful places in New Zealand. We also had a lot days of skiing at the jibline and could make a little edit, which you can see below:

https://vimeo.com/47847614

Then finally the big jumps opened for us as the snowboard competition has finished. It's been a kickerline with 3 jumps and I guess the last jump was the biggest one I've ever hit.We had a few days on the big jumps, which made me feel good again in the air,-it's been a lot of fun.

Then,as the time went by so fast, the training for the New Zealand Freeski Open started slowly. The course was really huge also because the girls had to ride the same course as the men, which was a big challenge for me.The Training went alright but I often haven't been sure about the competition so I always played with the thoughts not to do it but on the other hand I just wanted to get some more experiences with that.A few days before the competition our friend Trine had a crash and torn her ACL,which brought us all to think once again, how quickly such season ender actually can happen. It was such a bummer day.
So two days later the Freeski Open ran down.I actually definitively decided in the morning that I'm gonna take part.Training went well but I was really excited.Unfortunately I felt in both runs, which disappointed me a little bit but it was a great experience anyway.

Thanks for the Shots Nick Johnson!:-)

So the week after the competition was filled in with skiing and also with some partying. We had a smashing last week in New Zealand and it was horrible to leave this beautiful place and those great people.

Thanks to Andreas aka. Faw aka. Mister Helicopter for the pictures!:)

A day before our flight went off we've been to Christchurch. We went to the ocean and visited the city, which looks terrible because of all the damages due to the earthquakes one year ago.

Well, finally after around 40 hours of flying, waiting, eating and sleeping we actually arrived in Munich.
I'm still really happy about every experience I had in New Zealand,it was an amazing time.

Now I'm back home and go back to school soon and already wait to start our winter season here in Europe ;-)
