And on Saturday proceeded the Pro Contest, where I also participated.I had 2 solid runs and landed at least on the 2nd Place, which is a good result for the first competition of the season ;-)

Some days in Hintertux
The last two weekends I spent in Hintertux to get my season started. It began with the favoured Hintertux Opening, which was so much fun.We had three great days with perfect weather which means bluebird all the time. The park couldn't be shaped way better and the atmosphere on the mountain was brilliant. All the people had a big smile in their faces,- and of course me too ;-)
I had a good time there with my friends and I'm happy to be back on my skis :-)
Well and my last weekend was the real opposite,-bad view, snowfall, wind,no shaped park but a lot of powder. So we tried to make the best of the day and enjoyed the huge amount of fresh fallen snow.
And on Friday, the 14th,the Kaunertaler Glacier will open the gates for the Kaunertal Opening and I still confirmed my attendance for the Pro Contest on Saturday so I hope for a great weekend :-)

Bye Bye Summer,Hello Winter ;-)
Well before I'm gonna start with my winter updates I want to tell you something about my summer.
Even if I had 10 weeks a plaster on my hand I had a great summer anyway.
At the first part of my summer I went to Bispingen for some indoor skiing, which was so much fun.The park was great and the people were pretty nice.
Then I went to the Area 47 for some tramp sessions and I tried the waterramp for the first time, but that's nothing for me I really don't like this kind of training.Although we had a fun time doing the slackline above the water or the water slides.
I also went to the Freestyle academy in Laax and I definitely prefer this kind of training because the ramp into the foam pit is super safe and you can try each trick without being afraid of an injury.Indeed it was pretty exhausting but we had a lot of fun and I really liked the Freestyle Academy.
Then something traditional,-I had a lot of beer tent sessions in our traditional bavarian costume,-the Dirndl.Whether at the ''Allgäuer Festwoche'' or at the ''Garmischer Beer Tent'',I always had a great time with my friends.
I also followed my favourite summer sport up and that is playing soccer.I'm playing soccer since 3 years now and we are a great team full of nice girls. And don't joke about women soccer now ;-)
Well and this weekend I enjoyed my last free time before the winter starts with a great Bike Tour and a super relaxed day at the Walchensee for some stand up paddling.
And now I'm ready for the winter and super happy to start my season this weekend at the Hintertux Opening. And I'm more than stoked to work together with my new sponsors Full Tilt and Line Skis (=>Thanks Korbi Resenberger). So at this point I want to thank Nordica for the great support the last two years and I'm pretty thankful about everything you've done for me.
So let's get the season started ;-)

Summer Feast 2011
Should we go to Les2alpes for some summer skiing or to Bispingen for some indoor skiing,-that's how the discussions with my friends looked like two weeks ago.But finally we decided to drive to Bispingen for the Summer Feast and that was definitely the right choice.
We arrived in Bispingen in the late afternoon and we were pretty surprised about the huge area. There's not only the snowdome in this abandoned field, there's a bowling center,a go-cart center,a little place where you can test segways and a big chill area where you can surf.
Our first two days were pretty cool,we went skiing until 20.00 o'clock in the evening, and it's all of a sudden how fast the time flies in the indoor ski venue.
After skiing we did several things. One time the girls tried to surf at the ''Nordwelle'',unfortunately I couldn't surf because of my plaster but the others did a great job.
On the next to last day took a waterslide place. The boys drove it with ski and snowboards, which is pretty typical. After a while we girls had the great idea to take the waterslide with an air mattress,I think we were the Highlight for all the spectators,-it was so much fun :-D
On the last day proceeded the competition of the Summer Feast. After a long contest-day in the snowdome I could win the comp and Isabel got 2nd,-so we had a big reason for a great Afterparty :-)
When our long night was over we packed our stuff together and hit the road for our homeward journey.
I just want to thank everybody who made this week in Bispingen such amazing.
Hope to see u all next year :-)
The train took 8 hours from Kempten to Hamburg,-we were full packed with ski, skiboots, bags, poles, sleeping bags and a tent and the people looked after us as if we were absolutely crazy.

Chillin ;-)
On the next day we tested segways, and I've never rode a segway before, and as you know, those segways are not able to overturn. But that's hokey, after 5 minutes riding I totally crashed with the segway and felt down, haha, and 1 minute later Isabel crashed, too. The only thing the minder said was ''I've never sampled such chaotic girls like you are!'' :-D

O'neill as my new outerwear sponsor :-)
Well, the last time I had a lot to decide about my next season. It was pretty difficult for me because it was the first time that I had to make a decision like this in the ''freeski business'' haha ;-)
However,it's on now,I'm riding for O'neill next year and I'm very happy to be a part of it.I'm really looking forward to work with O'neill in future.Today I visited the O'neill office in Munich and I already got my first new ski suit :-)
But it was not easy for me to leave Chix'n'Gravy and Roxburry, because they were one of my first sponsors and really helped me to get into the scene. Thanks Simone and Julian for your great support the last year,it was a pleasure to work with you :-)

Scaphoid surgery
Tomorrow I'm gonna have my scaphoid surgery, which makes me pretty scared. It all started in Ehrwald at the end of January.I had a stupid crash and hurt my hand a bit but the pain was not that strong so I didn't belive that there is anything broken. After a few days my hand got some different colours like red, blue, green.
Then I decided to go to the doctor but the only thing he said was that the hand is bruised really strong. After a few weeks I was wondering because my hand didn't get better.I went to the doctor again and he put me into the Computer Tomography. The result was not really enjoyable,''Sabrina unfortunately you broke your scaphoid''(and my first thoughts were, please no surgery)and his sentence went on ''But I think we don't have to operate it'' It took a load off my mind because I'm super afraid of operations, injections, hospitals and so on. Scaphoid fracture
I got a plaster for three weeks but that changed nothing. After those three weeks my scaphoid didn't grow together. So it came what I exspected, surgery! There's no other way to get the bone together than with a surgery.Tomorrow,my doctor is going to abstract a little piece of bone from my hip and will fix this bone with my scaphoid with a screw and this screw will rest in my hand the whole life.Well,I hope I don't get a heart attack if I get the injection and hopefully proceed everything pretty good ;-)
How it should look after the surgery ;-)
